Like Jesus was when He was here on earth, we have to face daily battles until we meet our Savior face to face. Jesus was never alone for He had the Holy Spirit to guide Him and He always did the Father's will. He told the apostles that when he ascended to heaven He wouldn't leave them alone. His Holy Spirit would come to live in them, help them, teach them, and guide them in ways which are from the Father. We can count on the Holy Spirit to help us win the battle of ownership over our minds and hearts. Jesus also told the apostles that they were to go and spread the gospel to all the world and make disciples healing sicknesses, diseases, the lost and the oppressed. Along with the Holy Spirit we are victorious through His blood and by His name, Jesus. Jesus is our intercessor to the Father for all things we may have to face each and every day. There is power in His name and by His blood that He redeemed for us all to use at the cross.
There is a battle raging for your mind right now. The devil will do all he can to deceive you, to get you to feel down, to lose faith, to distract you from your belief, and to try to get you to backslide. Don't give in to his deception! Put on the Armor of God by clicking here. You are a new creation in Christ Jesus, and you cannot be defeated because you are covered in the blood of Jesus that no power may penetrate. Put on the whole armor of God daily. The Lord is walking with you always so you can call on the name of Jesus and know that He is listening. John 10:10 reads, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly."
Power in Jesus blood: The blood Jesus shed on the cross has power so plead the blood of Jesus over your mind and anything or anyone who is coming against you. There is a song that goes...nothing but the blood of Jesus." There is power in the blood, and the enemy will use anything to take us away from that precious blood shed on calvary for all our sins; he attacks our minds. In the Old Testament there were blood sacrifices made by people to atone for their sins; but now, since God gave his only son, his blood is what was poured out for all our sins, even the battle of our minds. Take those thoughts and put them under the blood of Jesus and ask God to use you and to help you to be obedient to Christ.
This is War: 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. Although we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. On the contrary, we have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. We can be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once our obedience is complete. Do not let the devil get even an inch of leverage on you, because he will take a mile. Put on the armor, and stand firm in the faith of Jesus Christ. Allow Him to protect your mind, spirit, and body. Every day we step out into battle, because we physically are in this world. We are the light to this world, and the best thing we can do is to spread the gospel of Christ, pray for those in need, and be the hands and feet of Jesus to them.
