Your purpose in life is clearly written over and over again in the Holy Bible(the Word). First it is to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Secondly, keep that faith throughout your life. The Holy Spirit of God is living within you, to help you through, it is important to do His will every day of your life. Live for the Lord Jesus, with a goal of furthering His kingdom here on earth. This can be difficult to do sometimes. As Paul explains we our on a race and pressing forward each new day reaching the finish line and being a winner for Christ. Acts 20:24 says, "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me--the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." God has given you His peace and wants you to bless others by sharing the gospel with them. There is great joy in living for the Lord and sharing the truth in His Word to others. This verse says it all: Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Critcal Battle Move: God wants you to renew your mind every day by reading His Word and meditating upon it. Romans 12:1-2 reads, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of Gods mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing, and perfect will." As you read and meditate upon God's Word, you will become an effective servant in His kingdom. Make reading His Word a priority in your life because this will aid you to do His will. Every breath you take has been given to you by God, and every blessing you've ever received has been allowed by Him. You can be sure that the more time you give to serving God and to reading His Word, the more you will come to know and love Him. Philippians 4:13 reads, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me". Stand on this verse when ever faced with tough circumstance. There is power in this verse and His written Word.
You are accepted by God: He accepts you right where you are, just as you are, and makes you a new creation. Romans 12:4-8 we read, "Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contriburing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully." Go out and work for God and tells others about Him and how He met you right where you were and about how you've grown in His love.
Staying on track: As a part of your daily prayer life, ask God to forgive you of your sins-those you know you committed, those you omitted(didn't do something the Spirit may have wanted you to do), and those of which you are not currently aware. Be sensitive to any sins that you seem to keep repeating, and ask God to help you overcome them. Do not allow Satan to remind you of your past sins and failures. Simply say out loud, "My sins are forgiven by the blood of Christ, and my past has no hold on me. I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and I now belong to Him. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are my present and my future and my portion." If the enemy tries to steal anything from you...your peace, your faith, your knowing that you are forgiven....just repeat the words above until you know in your heart that you have overcome Satan and are resting in God's loving arms.
Jesus does all the work: Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." He wanted us to understand that sin's burden is heavy and hard, that he wanted us to come to Him just as we were, that He died for our sins (so now we can live for Him), and that--when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior--His Holy Spirit will lead us and guide us into all righteousness as we follow His lead and surrendar our lives to Him daily. He begins a new work in your heart and will continue in that work until the day He returns, when He can take you into eternity in a state of perfection.
The Great Commission: The good news of the gospel is that we must tell others about all Jesus has done for us and all He can do for them. Matthew 28:19 read, "Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." These words are known as The Great Commission, and they tell much about our purpose here on earth.
